Outdoor weddings are really popular, especially in the spring and fall months.  While we hope for a gorgeous day, we always encourage our couples to have a “plan B” in case of a rainy day.  Our beautiful sunroom offers a great back-up plan for ceremonies for less than 100 people. For larger events, we recommend a tent and offer suggestions on companies that will set them up.

In the first picture below, the bride & groom chose to use the tent for the ceremony and reception since rain was in the forecast.  You can see their 175 guests were seated at their reception tables for the ceremony and it worked out great!  The aisle for the ceremony was reset for the wedding party’s head tables.

In the photo below, the tent provided shade for a summer ceremony. Afterwards, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn and in the house while the tent was reset for the reception.

In the 3rd picture, the bride & groom used a tent as their “insurance policy” in case of rain on their wedding day. They planned an outdoor ceremony on our grounds and set up the reception under this tent. If it had rained at ceremony time, their 150 guests could have gathered under the tent for that as well. They lucked out with a pretty day!
