Weddings are a truly magical day to celebrate, no matter what time of year it is. So when Megan and Paul decided to seal the deal on January 18, 2016, Photography by TSM captured a beautiful winter wedding photo shoot at our Raleigh wedding venue, and even got featured in Southern Bride and Groom Magazine.
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon in September, Kristin and Steve made their promises to love each other until death do they part. After a traditional Catholic ceremony, the wedding party and guests continued the celebration with a reception at The Rand-Bryan House. The reception was filled with love, laughter, and dancing. Check out the video below of Kristin and Steve’s big day.
This couple embraced the beauty of the season for their Christmas wedding. The spring-like afternoon made for a pretty ceremony in the Rand-Bryan House sunroom. Then, the evening reception was “merry & bright” with candlelight, a Christmas tree, window candles and windows framed in icicle lights. Best wishes to Sam & Mike!
This bride wanted a wedding that highlighted the beauty of fall and, wow, did she get it! As she, her mom and planner visited in the months leading up to the November 22 wedding day, it was exciting to see the dream become reality. This was a delightful way to end our fall wedding season with a wonderful couple, great parents of the bride and a super team of vendors. Kudos to Lynn at Happily Ever After, Catering By Design, Ryan Midgett Photography and all the others!
Meri & Nick planned an indoor wedding but decided to take advantage of a beautiful fall day in mid-November to have their ceremony and cocktail hour on the grounds at the Rand-Bryan House. What a great day—Our best wishes to this delightful couple!
Outdoor weddings are really popular, especially in the spring and fall months. While we hope for a gorgeous day, we always encourage our couples to have a “plan B” in case of a rainy day. Our beautiful sunroom offers a great back-up plan for ceremonies for less than 100 people. For larger events, we recommend a tent and offer suggestions on companies that will set them up.
With Valentine’s Day being the 2nd most popular engagement time (after the Christmas holidays), we’ll be looking forward to meeting lots of newly engaged couples in the coming weeks. Here’s a glimpse at just a few of our newlyweds from 2014…..Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!
The weeks around Christmas and New Year’s are the top times for engagements and the first questions from friends and family are “when?” and “where?” If at all possible, you should choose the “where” first so you’ll know it’s available for the date you choose. We look forward to hearing from you so we can answer your questions and, hopefully, meet you for a tour of our beautiful house and grounds. You’ll find we have some great options for the wedding of your dreams—summer, fall, spring or winter? casual or formal? inside or outside?
We are so excited about the Christmas season at the Rand-Bryan House and all the wonderful events we will host this month! Our elves finished decorating just in time for us to kick off the holidays with the Creech Road Elementary staff yesterday and then the Raleigh Rescue Mission and Allied Telesis parties today & tonight. Next up…2 special couples will celebrate their weddings here this weekend. We hope you’ll get in touch with us to discuss your Christmas event for 2015.
Sparker exits create a bright & festive end to a wedding reception and provide a great photo opp! At the Rand-Bryan House, we have the perfect spot as the newlyweds exit our main door onto the front porch, then walk down the sidewalk with their friends and family lining the aisle, waving their sparklers. If you are choosing sparkers for your send-off, look online for those that are at least 20 inches long. Standard sized ones just aren’t long enough to sparkle as long as you need for that dazzling get-away!
